2003 MGTF160
Hi Everyone
Just bought my first MGTF so think I will be asking questions. The car has been well looked after by previous owners and a good service history car looks very sound with good bodywork.
I’am not new to MG’s as I have a 1977 MGB roadster and a new HS Hybrid. My first MGB was back in 1973 registration No. ANU241L so if any of you own it would love to hear from you.
Regards
Michael

I owned ANU241L from 1986 to 1989 and prior to that it was in my family for the previous 4 years, Nottingham. It was sold in need of refurbishment to some folk on Anglesey.

Hi
Talkingcars
I’am very happy with the Hybrid my general journeys are a about 24 miles round trip so at the moment have been charging with the granny charger.
One thing that did confuse me occasionally cannot select EV mode and the engine starts up in auto mode have found out this is because the 12 Volt battery needs some charge although showing 12.3 Volt on the gauge after about 1 mile I can then switch to EV mode. Currently my average mpg is showing as 423mpg think I’am very happy with this my charging cost is 15p per KWH and I use 15.5KWH for a full charge for 32 miles. Ride is smooth but wish the suspension was a bit stiffer
My smart meter will be installed at the end of the month then will start looking into alternative electrical suppliers.

Nice to hear from you I sold the car after approx 2.5 years as I needed 4 seats for my business use was sad to see it go. I have had a range of MG’s and Rovers over the years along side owning a BMW 535i with a special alpina 4 litre engine kept this for 25 years and parted with it 4 years ago 150,000 miles.

Re: 2003 MGTF160
Doing the figures I would have to vastly increase my mileage to make it worth it so the idea has gone on the back burner for a while but thanks for the info.
