new owner midlands

Post by the spruce goose » Sun Oct 27, 2013 7:14 pm

back in the fold.

I have just bought a 1.8 vvc green 1996 plate.

Just under 50k miles no rust and an average paintwork but all the major work down and drives well, just a juddering on high deceleration.

pretty much a full service history as well.

I know they are small but they give me a smile and will be my daily car so looking forward to the snow..

cheers james

Hi and Welcome,

Great choice for a daily driver, and with the right tyres reasonably well behaved in the snow so long as you are careful.

Plenty of Midlands groups and natters arranged through here so you should be able to find something nearby if you are interested in the social side as well.

Cheers
Phil Brindley

Hi and welcome,
I am also a new member to the site and the MGF. I use 2 wheels to commute to work and have a merc 320 convertable as a car. A few month's ago i bought the MGF for the misses so that she could drive to work. I have always liked the look of the little 2 seater so decided to buy her one to put a smile on her face after we were in a car nasty car accident last year. Since i bought the mgf I have found myself driving it more and more leaving the merc in the garage. I can see the myself changing the merc buying another MG for me before too long and selling what was my pride and joy before i took the mg out for the first time. Plenty of smiles per mile from the mg. A fantastic little car we a great following of some good people as represented on this forum. Some great advise given freely.

Its good to hear they handle ok in the snow, peace of mind knowing the misses drives the mg daily.
