Re: Erm
Trophy 160, mind you I am biased, they only have part leather but could be swapped.
Cheers

Re: Erm
I would say get a 2002-2005 vvc as they are a bit rear and there for should hold there value a bit better and they make a better road car thanks to there low down torque [ from 1900rpm ]
Bilstein dampers, 4-2-1 manifold, Head work by Sabre, stainless steel under floor pipes, MGMAINA moded alternator bracket, silicon hoses, Torque tamer, JAYLAD servo bracket, Pro race 1.2 wheels

Re: Erm
You say that like it's a problem, personally I'd go for alcantara, all 4 of our modified MGs have it.idrawcad wrote:.......they only have part leather but could be swapped.

You have the choice of F or TF which is a matter of personal preference.
There is a multitude of ways you can alter the look to suit your taste.
The F comes with hydragas on the F or normal springs and shocks on the TF.
Hydragas is better for cruising, shocks and springs for driving hard.
As above, I prefer Alcantara, leather is a status symbol and is shower proof but Alcantara is sportier.
What ever the car comes with it can be changed.
Engine wise the MGF Trophy or the TF160 come with the most powerful 160bhp VVC engine, the earlier MGF VVC comes with a 143bhp but it's still quick, especially with a few tweeks. The mk2 MGF and TF come with later engine management that can be tuned.
My advice is to try a few and see what you fancy.
(We've done 4 trips to Italy in our mk1 VVC and I regularly use it to commute, even in deepest winter, roof down in light snow at 5.30am. I haven't done any track days but if I were it would be in the ZS)

And I've done both Goodwood circuits in a truck.....
