Now that's an excellent idea, why hadn't I thought of that? I'll follow suit when I do the next service for the MOT in April.

M6 thread, £3.25 for ten on flea bay, 2 on a TF, 4 on a F. bit fiddly without disconnecting the damper but if you use a stiff piece of tube and cut a notch out for the angle bit of the nipple to pop out easy peasy to fit without disconnecting anything (the nipple thread is inline behind the damper so you cant get a straight access to screw in )

A reasonably busy weekend on the new project helped along with Charless and Bill, totally rotten hood and broken screen replaced, the car was given a first clean, more to follow. Charless programmed/repaired a second fob and read/removed error codes, middle brake light fitted and some light detailing, front bumper will need to go to the painters, hoping they can match the colour but not overly hopefull

Re: what have you done on your mgf today?
I haven't been on here for ages - been busy with other things non MG related, but have now got the F prepped and ready for a trip to Italy in three weeks time. As you are now probably all aware there's a Coronavirus scare/panic/overreaction that has hit Italy over the past few days and large parts of Lombardy and the Veneto are in lockdown.
Fortunately we are not going near there. Plan is to have three nights in Cunéo, which is in Piedmont. Apparently (according to the hôtel) the only case in Piedmont was in Turin and that has since turned out to be a false alarm.
So, all being well we shall be on our way. Taking the M/way along the Côte d'Azur, through into Italy and then turning north at Ventimiglia to Cunéo. About 470km from Rekkers Towers, about 6hrs or less dependant on traffic. Plan is to stop for lunch at the service area at Beausoleil, just after the Monaco exit.
At first view it looks just like a lorry park, but it isn't. Generally quiet too. Fantastic view over Monaco & Monte Carlo. Nice little café/snack bar with terrace. Only available Eastbound and not visible from the main carriageway and easily missed as the slip road is just after you come out of a tunnel. Just drive down the ramp, go to the petrol pumps and park up.

We've only taken our F to Italy 5 times but since my wife changed jobs she currently doesn't get enough holiday to allow us 2 weeks to make it worth while. Enjoy your trip.

Replaced the n/s upper suspension bearing, and at the same time greased the suspension. Also drilled out the sheared disc retaining screws and cleaned up the threads. Replaced them with stainless csk Allen head screws from Toolstation. Tyres are scrubbed ( and six years old) so will be getting new front tyres and the tracking checked.

Anyone know where I could source these bolts with the blue surround?
What size(s) they are?
Edit: The quote function doesn't seem to include the images from the original post.

Ebay - I suspect if you include "tuner" in your search terms you'll find something, it's a Jap tuner thing.

If you go on eBay & search for "fender washer kit" there's plenty of choice of sizes & colours.
I ordered M6 x 16mm bolts.

Re: what have you done on your mgf today?
Nice new front sub frame mount. Need to change near side headlight as part of the inside has broken off. Might clean up under the bumper area once it's off. Thought about fitting an emergency pull cord for the bonnet release.
