Windscreen wiper stalk was broken so while I was putting a replacement leather steering wheel on I replaced it

Re: New MGF
Fixed the offside window as a part was missing.
The car coughed a bit sometimes so I serviced it today. New plugs, cap, rotor, oil, both filters and antifreeze as there wasn't any in it.
Runs much better now.
Next upgrade are the door card inserts and the rear brake light in the boot as it doesn't have one.

Re: New MGF
When lowering the roof did you move one of the roof supports as this often stops the roof from folding flat

Re: New MGF
Only move the front lever support otherwise it won't go down. This is the lowest it goesPaiceybaby wrote:When lowering the roof did you move one of the roof supports as this often stops the roof from folding flat

Re: New MGF
Even after moving the roof support thing above your head? Then it's beyond me, I'm sure Rob or someone else equally clever will be able to help

Re: New MGF
Yep even after that, i'm a bit stumped so any only assume it's been forced in a previous lifePaiceybaby wrote:Even after moving the roof support thing above your head? Then it's beyond me, I'm sure Rob or someone else equally clever will be able to help

Re: New MGF
It could be a bent roof support but i would think it obvious when the roof is up
Re: New MGF
Lubricate the frame pivots, there are 13 each side, the 'sliding' joints behind the doors are the most important

Re: New MGF
My hood was a bit stiff - WD40 sprayed on the joints seemed to sort it all out - I think it had just not been used for a month or two Nice shade of blue you have there...

Re: New MGF
Hi Jeff, I had similar problem with my roof, with roof part open, try pushing the first roof support bar backwards and roof will poss go down, this fixes my roof.

Re: New MGF
That's not the problem allen as i already do that. Lubed it up and made no difference so I guess the frames been forced in the past, I'll live with it for now.
