Re: F -v- TF bootlid ?
Yep, concur, although the Trophy bib spoiler is different in appearance to the Krafthaus design they both do a great job.
Bilstein shocks, Piper 4-2-1 manifold, Daytona, Vader cold-air induction, custom Z and F Stage 2 re-map, Electric boot release, braided hoses, Blue Magnecor leads, Technozen relays, Stage 1 head, BMW Angel Eyes headlights, "MG" puddle lights.
Re: F -v- TF bootlid ?
As usal I need to be different than the mainstream. I've put a Trophy bootlid with spoiler to my TF.
Why?
Because I wanted to have a rear spoiler on my TF. As the Trophy bootlid has some fortifications where the spoiler is fitted, I prefered this solution than using my TF bootlid.

That's true Pascal, your TF is rather different.

Colin, total tangent: did I read correctly in this month's that you are now a proud owner of a triple-M MG?

Re: F -v- TF bootlid ?
The Kamm Tail on the TF bootlid (along with the revised side intakes) contributes to a 40% greater airflow through the engine bay with a comcommitant decrease in engine bay temperature of some 17 degrees compared to the F.
In my view its one of the best mods you can make to an F.

Never bothered to check this in real, but I heard a long time ago it was good for temperature reduction inside the engine bay.Debs wrote:The Kamm Tail on the TF bootlid (along with the revised side intakes) contributes to a 40% greater airflow through the engine bay with a comcommitant decrease in engine bay temperature of some 17 degrees compared to the F.

There is a TF boot resting in the attic, about time to make it work.

Re: F -v- TF bootlid ?
Were the figures with an original TF bootlid, or do you have to add first a guerney flap extension as the one from JDL Tuning? Mira also added a small flap, as well as MG-R on their TF prototype which could be found on pictures of the closed Longbridge building.
Here's what I did. Rover 45 lip spoiler added to a Trophy bootlid:

The figures were based upon the standard TF boot lid.

I rather think Colin will Kasper! It looks a beauty! What is the model and spec of the car you've got Colin? What's the story!
I'll let you know what my new project will be when it arrives

it's a '31 D Type, but not one for the purists as it has a 2 seater body (which it first had one back in the 70's) and a little blower fitted to it as well. it's been described as a café racer. Dash is similar to K3, but there's no speedo (not needed on pre '34) I'm told its a got a good exhaust note as well
are you at MG Live Rob? you'll see it there

Re: F -v- TF bootlid ?
That's why I didn't recognise it! It has something of a flavour of a K doesn't it? A cafe racer is a cool thing to have. What supercharger is fitted?
Yes, I am planning to be at Silverstone. Hopefully the HANS compatible helmet will be here shortly, along with the new harness. An expenisve and frustratingly slow start to the season
