Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
I did wonder about that - will be interested to hear how that problem is resolved.

Have you had the same problem in the past Rob? I fitted the same kit to my TF with no problems at all.

Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Hi Kevin,
I was up at Prestige MG at the weekend and I've got to say your Trophy is just simply stunning! Love the quad pipe exhaust. And the underside looks almost as good as the bodywork. Never seen one that clean before! The colour is just brilliant. I'd never been a fan of anthracite before, a bit too understated for me, but seeing it under the workshop lights it looks totally superb!
That is one really special MG and one that's going to look and sound awesome.
Good on you mate.
Phil

Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Thanks Phil. Andy has an amazing eye for detail which I appreciate so much. At first I wished I had hung out for a Trophy Yellow car, but the paintwork is so good I am really pleased we saved this lovely car.
It is back in the spray shop at the moment to correct some minor detailing and then all should be sorted in a matter of weeks. Matt at MG Obsession has been tremendous too in sourcing some hard to find parts.
You never know, it might even be ready for POL

Is that a pre-war enamel badge on there?

Handbrake needs attention. Lever is too high... (just thought I'd chuck that in) Nice job. It'll be a shame to take it out and get it dirty.

Love the front end, just a shame it has to have a registration plate on the front.

Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Looking lovely. Could be showroom fresh! I'd be tempted to return to dual exit pipes rather than the quads: this is a Mike Satur box?

Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Exhaust is Daytona with 4-2-1 manifold and sports cat. Sorry Rob, I like the quads for now
Slight change of interior for now too with full leather blue/black seats and matching blue console, steering wheel and door cappings.

Smart! And don't apologize for the quad Daytona: it's what you like - and that's what really counts!
Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Quad Daytona looks great, and sounds even better, it's what came on my wife's F.

New BAS Sportster hood fitted and wheel alignment sorted.
Also, Mark from Kmaps has completed a full diagnostic on the rebuilt engine and loaded the race VVC remap
