My 2004 F/TF goes for months with no problem, then within a few days the alarm will go off for no apparent reason, I was at The Pheonix the other night and with no one near the car the alarm went off. It has done it in the evenings but fortunately not during the night. Any ideas.
I did think the pub one was the wife telling me to go home

You could try checking the wire connections in the front door locks as they can get dirty/corroded (2pin one) or check the boot wires as they can break

As Paul says, the boot loom is unfortunately a very common cause for this annoying problem: the boot lid loom is flexed everytime the boot is opened and closed, and ultimately the wires and their insulation breaks up causing shorts and nastiness...
