The underside of my beloved F suffered a nasty bruising today as i mounted a kerb to let an ambulance past, and hasn't been the same since. I'm sure something has come loose underneath the car as there is knocking/ grinding but i have no idea what it could be. Is there anything in the middle of the underside that could come loose? I'm a little worried

Also the fan on my heater suddenly started making a horrible 'flapping' noise. Any ideas?

Check your spare wheel, you may have hit the underside of the spare wheel carrier, damaged it and moved your spare (maybe broken the securing bolt).

Having a look underneath should give you a rough idea as damage should be visible.
