I HAVE AN MGF 1.8 VVC S REG FOR SALE, IT HAS NO MOT OR TAX, NEEDS NEW OSF WING FOR MOT, LUCKILY I HAVE ONE, IN THE SAME COLOR, STARTS, DRIVES, GOOD ENGINE, GEAR BOX AND CLUTCH.

OTHER THAN THE WING, IT HAS A FEW MINOR COSMETIC ISSUES WITH THE BODYWORK, BUT THATS TO BE EXPECTED. IF I GET A GOOD ENOUGH PRICE FOR THE CAR, THE WING WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE SALE, IF NOT, IT WILL HAVE TO BE PURCHASED SEPERATE.

I ALSO HAVE HIGH SPEC MG X POWER DECALS IN GREEN THAT COST £300, BUT AM WILLING TO TAKE OFFERS ON THOSE.

I AM OPEN TO OFFERS ON THE CAR, BUT WILL PUT IT ON EBAY FOR AUCTION IF I DON'T GET OFFERED £350 + THE CAR IS LOCATED IN SWINDON SN25.

Images can be uploaded by using the upload tag under the 'preview/submit' buttons when you click on reply to message. The alternative is to upload to another website (photobucket etc) and then put the image links inside the image tags [ img ] picture URL e.g. http://mgf.ultimatemg.com/group1/info/m ... ngdon1.jpg [ /img ] which gives the following:

Some pictures would be great. Also, what mileage? Service history?

I'm tempted, but my wife will kill me for taking on another project!!!

- no worries about the picture size - but it worked!

She looks like an MPi rather than VVC? Mind you, wheels do get replaced. What's the 8th letter on the VIN? Is it a T or a G?

This'll make an excellent project car for someone. Personally, I really like the colour - a real classic early Mk1 shade!

erm now you've lost me lol where do i look for that? i wish someone would buy her and give a good home, i have tried gumtree, but 119 timewasters in 1 week, has totally put me off, then i remembered i was a member here.....
she really does need to go, i have my s class to get ready for its mot, and it needs a tyre, at £300 for one, little molly the mg has to go, otherwise i will have to take her up the weighbridge and watch as she becomes cubed sniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiif :'(

The VIN number you will find on your V5, MOT certificate or just look at it through the windscreen on the passenger side.

If the 8th letter is a "T" then it's a VVC. Odd that it has MPi wheels - but there again, so many cars have wheel swaps. May be it had an upgrade to 16" wheels, which were sold separately and the car restored to 15" using cheap second hand MPi rims?

IT SEEMS THERE ARE MORE TIMEWASTERS ON HERE THAN ANYWHERE ELSE, TO DATE I HAVE HAD 32 PEOPLE GIVE IT ALL THE CHAT, BUT THEN NOT BOTHER SHOWING UP OR BOTHERING TO TEXT OR CALL TO SAY THEY CANT MAKE IT!

Whilst I sympathise with your plight - nobody likes a timewaster - I would suggest that the timewasters may not necessarily be members of this forum.

You chose to publish your email address and phone number on a publicly accessible forum where they can be accessed by anybody whether a member of this forum or not. In my experience the members of this forum are, on the whole, genuine and helpful and not the sort to waste peoples time. The timewasters could just as easily come from anywhere.

In future to protect against this sort of thing I would suggest that you not publish your personal contact details in the open. That way if somebody needs to contact you to inquire about the sale they can do so via the private message system or via the email address you registered for this site with. These details are only available to forum members and so will reduce the number of potential timewasters. If someone does abuse the PM/email system they can be dealt with by the moderators of the forum.

I would also ask that you not name and shame on the public forum. If you have an issue with a member please report it to one of the moderators (user names in red) to deal with.

Having said that I wish you luck with the sale and hope you get the right buyer soon.

Ditto the above. Hope you get a sale soon, as this is going to be a really good project car for someone. Wish I could buy it, but I already have one large project car on the drive, and "she who must be obeyed" has indicated that this project should be finished first before taking on any more! Ugh. Painfully logical.
