Just a few pictures from a great weekend. I'll send the full set to Mykel for placing on the MGFIM web-site. If there's one you want, let me know and I'll send it full size.
A beautiful Royal Blue TF coming off the main road at Rudesheim :
The better half on the battlements of the castle at Marksburg overlooking the Rhine :
Look behind you Dave :
Love the amount of colours on this car :
Plenty of enthusiastic cornering :
The ladies were always laughing, the spirit of MGFIM :
Go ladies :
Ferry across the Rhine, actually I think we did have the whole boat ! :
Ah, good morning Blankenberg :
Essex 1 and 2 leaving Blankenberg :

We got back about an hour ago after extending our stay to the Black Forest and then to lake Como. MGFIM was great and I am already looking forward to the next one. Thanks to organisers, helpers and attendees alike - you all helped make my weekend.

Re: MGFIM'13 16-18 August 2013. Germany
Hi all!
Sorry for my late comment!
Yes, it was a great weekend and I will still remember it when I am old and grey! We had a lot of fun, many little curvy roads and mostly good weather. With only two breakdowns which Klaus heroically fixed we had no further problems. I did not expect this because of some 60 cars.
It was a great pleasure for Jochen and me to have you all as guests at our Treffen. I hope you enjoyed the trip to Germany and also the routes through my home country. You have seen many different landscapes of our little area and a bit of the Burg Marksburg.
Thank you for all the positive replies that you have sent by mail or written in the forums. Thanks to Sergio who made this excellent movie. And Thanks again to Klaus and his pack for the support they provided us with. Without Klaus and my garage I would not have been able to attend the Treffen with my own MGF. They all have done great work!!!
First pictures that Martina and I made, can be seen on the homepage www.mg-hunsruecktreffen.de
Cheers
Lutz

Re: MGFIM'13 16-18 August 2013. Germany
Looks like all of you made it back home safely
Also a little wrap-up from my side:
It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun organizing an event like this.
I'm glad most of the things worked out fine but in my opinion it's not possible with this amount of cars/people to satisfy everyone.
Also the weather on friday and saturday was perfect. Driving these roads in the rain would have been a catastrophy (and maybe sometimes dangerous).
Unfortunately the sunday hasn't been like this. 2 good days out of 3 is o.k. (one week later it would have been 3 complete rain days).
Thanks for all the participants, without their help this event would have ended in a mess. Everyone (some minor exceptions) accepted the planned schedule
and tried to help the organization team to meet the planned lunch/sightseeing places more or less in time.
I'd like to thank the MGFIM people, also Klaus & his team, especially Andreas, who took over the lead of group 3 within short notice (1 day prior to the event start) from Udo who had to cancel due to health reasons.
Also thanks to Udo & Jutta for supporting the organization of this event.
Some issues to think about (also for the next organization team):
There will always be participants who "do their own thing" even though the tour is guided. That's o.k. as long as the orga team knows this (in advance).
Also we had people that subscribed and never showed up. This is not acceptable as we were making reservations for lunch and sightseeing !!
A lot of cancellations we received through Mykel or by reading through the forums. Canceling an event is not a problem at all, there are tons of
reasons why someone would cancel the subscription. We don't even need to know why. But it is very important that cancellations are being addressed directly to the orga team. Typing an eMail is as much work as typing a message into a thread.
The issue we had on sunday (lunch reservation for 86 persons, having 50 meals in the end) ended without problems. Fortunately another group
showed up without reservation to "fill up" our losses.
Please don't see this as a negative statement. This is meant for future events (and their organization teams).
Seeing the complete weekend it is an absolute positive feedback from our side.
We always have to keep in mind the number of cars, people, nations and characters involved. It was an honour to host all of you in our homeland.
We will (of course) do it again next year in the Hunsrücktreffen No. 12 but back to the regular size of around 20-25 cars.
Thanks again to all of you
It's been a pleasure !!
Jochen

Danke Jochen and good points made.
It's only good manners and courtesy to let the organisers know if you cancel or do your own thing during the tour
You and Lutz, Klaud and all the team deserve a good rest now
