Hi Folks,
The first big MG event of the year is nearly upon us so I thought that it would be a good opportunity to have our first convoy to a big MG event as well.
The MG and Triumph Spares Day at Stoneleigh.
Suggest we meet up at Leicester Forest East Service (M1 Southbound) around 8:30am with a view to setting off at 8:45 sharp (ish). Obviously if you get there earlier you will have time to sample the fine fayre on offer at the services.
We can then head off for a blast along the M1 and M69 then go cross country for the last few miles to Stoneleigh. That should get us on site just before the 9:30 start time and hopefully mean that we'll be in the undercover, marque appropriate, parking.
Once we are there we can head off in our own direction and perhaps meet up later for a coffee and to compare hauls.

Sorry, but won't be able to take part as the date clashes with my other passion (
www.alrs.org.uk)
May even have to miss the Feb meet as a result of alternator failure in the pouring rain and dark of last Friday evening. Just managed to get home before headlights became too dim to illuminate the road (& the puddles).

Doors open to the public at 09:30. Car parks will be open earlier. The under cover parking will fill up quickly as it is limited as some of the cow sheds are been used for the club stands this year.

Just purchased a couple of tickets so will meet up at where ever and run down with whom ever decides they need to fill the garage with more bits they may need one day. We shall have a hardtop on the car which will be for sale on the day, open to all reasonable cash offers...

Hi Folks. There seems to be a bug working its way through our house at the minute so if I am not there by 8:45 in the morning it means I'm either on the loo, or looking after after the kids while Lorna is on the loo, and therefore not going. Hopefully all will be fine though and I'll see you at LFE as planned.

Pleased you made it Phil and nice to have met some new peeps, great time had at Stoneleigh we now have a spare wheel n some nice new mats along with an ever growing "got to have one of those" list.
We've just got back home after a nice run back up the Old Fosse Road, called in at Croft for a quick refresh then ran across country back to Nottm, a nice ride out to top the day out and get over the shock of opening my wallet twicin a day!
