Anyone interested????
As some of you may be aware from recent posts, Ken & I (Gary not Cath) purchased “Dirty Mabel”.
We discussed at the last Herts & North London meeting about turning Mabel into a “Track day car”.
This would not be on the scale of Rob (Master Yoda) Bell’s and other’s projects, just a few practical upgrades (well to start with anyway).
We have now decided Ken should keep Mabel as she really is a lovely car, and Ken is going to donate his “Project Green” MGF VVC as a Track Car.
Now for the fun bit
We would like to offer anyone interested a share in the Track Car?
God only knows how this will work yet, but neither Ken nor I are looking to make any profit from this.
So ladies and Gents, If anyone fancies driving a car round a track (we are thinking North Weald but nothing set in stone), but does not want to take their own beloved MGF/TF this could be for you.
So guys here’s your chance, all we are looking for at the moment are people who may be interested in the idea; you do not have to be from the Herts & North London area.

'02 TF 160 - an Original MG Rover Group Press Car...and still lookin' sharp!
Bilstein Shocks, Z&F Remap, B&G Coolant Alarm, Glass Rear Screen, Braided Hoses, Bling-free at the moment...but that'll probably change

And me!
Oh, ummmm. Yeah.
Yes, as Gary said, we need to think about the details of this but gauging genuine interest and commitment is the way forward first of all.
Let us know and then we can put together a cunning plan.
Cheers

Hey Ken and Gary,
I´d love to share your project, but at the moment I´m still living in Germany and
next year I will move to Bristol, which is not just around the corner.
I will keep this in mind and if you still want people to join next year, I will do so

Re: Anyone interested????
As you know, I take my own car on track days and have 2 more booked this year so I need to go through with these for now. However, once these are done, I could be interested in joining your track day car scheme. Note that under the normal MGoT track day rules you can only have 2 drivers so it might be difficult to have a group of us on one track day.

If you do or don't decide to get involved, your experience with the track days you have had will be greatly appreciated.
The two driver is something we have not thought of and will have to look into.

I think we will probably give it another week or two, just to see if anyone else is interested. Then try and arrange a meeting with all interested parties to get some ideas on how its going to work.

Re: Anyone interested????
Evening All!
I can only echo Gary's comments about folk getting interested in this, thanks
I think a get together really is the sensible thing and I was also unaware of the driver limit thing. I guess there are days when I won't/can't participate and I imagine that will apply to others, so it may not be a huge problem.
I am certain we can all have a bloody good natter about the finer points, but I am pleased that interest is growing.
