New MGF Owner
Hello all from a new owner. Just received a 2001 MGF as a birthday present from my family. I'm a newbie all round, to both MG ownership (excluding a 1987 MG Metro many years ago!) and forum posts.

Hello and Welcome to the Forum.
You're in for a good deal of enjoyment as you get to know your present, an inspired gift by the way. The F is a very rewarding car to drive which can really surprise you with its capabilities.

Re: New MGF Owner
Thanks for the warm welcome. Pic attached complete with my 4 year old granddaughter who loves the MG as much as me! As for model, it's a 2001 1.8i 16v. It's got a couple of niggles, to be expected in a 18 year old car with nearly 100,000 miles i guess. Had to have new front discs, engine bay temp light and fan come on from start up now and again and the heater fan only works on speed 4. Otherwise seems spot on to be honest. Tell you more when it goes in for an MOT next month

Welcome to the forum. Have you sorted the heater fan yet? Mine wasn't working on no 1 when I got mine, sorted now.

Engine bay temperature sensor replaced and heater can now working on all 4 speeds. Lying upside down head first in the passenger footwell - what a way to spend the extra hour when the clocks go back!
