Don't worry though guys, I have one, with fittings, to put on eBay asap! ...or offers over £200?
(No longer have an F or TF to put it on)

Re: Full body tonneau cover
Full tonneau cover on ebay, appears not to have fittings but low buy it now price item number 224138892062
Re: Full body tonneau cover
Just to say, i bought that last one, looks brand new, complete with original bag. It did indeed not come with fittings, but i have spent this evening on cad designing and 3d printing the front fittings. Just awaiting some longer hex bolts to fit it. Technology eh?
Re: Full body tonneau cover
For the front you can use the original rear fittings however the rears require to be taller to take the double thickness.
The front bolts require to be pillar bolts (to raise the hexagon to the correct height ) such that the head requires to be double height with a thread to take the smaller fitting cap head bolt.
The rear centre fittings are mounted on a plate fixed to the existing thread.
WARNING. Only remove one bolt each side at a time or the vent ducts will fall.

Re: Full body tonneau cover
Yeh, those front bolts are like rocking horse poop, ive been looking for a cover for 3 years and ive never seen a set of fixings available separately ever, no websites list or have any, which is why im making my own.
Im using a 45mm m6 hex bolt to replace the 30mm m6 dash bolt. Ive then 3d printed the above to sit in place of the dash bolt cover, the Bolt fits flush into the top of it, and ive 3d printed a sleeve to make up the difference under the dash. Im awaiting the bolts but testing with shorter bolts they seem very strong.
Im also not using the mk1 rear hood cover, as its horrible to fit, and i already have the better tf cover. So im going to be making my own rear fixings too. Will post the final results if anyones interested. I may also print off a couple of extra full sets of my fixings if anyone would be interested.

Re: Full body tonneau cover
Well done!
Has anyone a design of the 'white sliding plate' of the gear selector?
Should be do-able to 3d print that as well.
I, as well as most of us, could really do with a new one
Kind regards!

I just used pencil, paper and vernier gauge. The local engine repair shop allowed me to use their lathe.vDv wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 10:46 amYeh, those front bolts are like rocking horse poop, ive been looking for a cover for 3 years and ive never seen a set of fixings available separately ever, no websites list or have any, which is why im making my own.
