ref Klaus 11/12/12 - "round this Area we will be: http://maps.google.de/maps?hl=de&gs_rn= ... =0CIUBELYD
I think when the hotel is found, Jochen and Lutz will give us the exact Location."
Information so far from Klaus and Adrian
It's the 17th-18th August 2013 with a small programme for the early bird arrivals on Friday 16th.
Destination Germany, with more details to follow.
"the planning in Germany runs with full speed. We searching for a big Hotel so that we can stay all together and have fun.
We have a large and experienced crew, the MGFIM13 will be great.
We have in our area a beautiful Landscape with Mountains, Forrest’s, Rivers, Attractions, and beautiful road profiles.
And of course also many different varieties of german beer:lol:
Looking forward to see all the old and new international friends.

For anyone interested a plan is being hatched to stay in Blankenberg, near Hennef, Cologne on the way down on the Thursday night and / or the way back Sunday night. We know of a great restaurant and hotel with plenty parking there.
We would stay at 53773 Hennef - Stadt Blankenberg about 30 miles south-east of Cologne.
It´s a small medieval town with a population of about 250 people inside a town wall.
Hotel link http://www.hotel-haus-sonnenschein.de/h ... -home.html
Should be a great event, and I am really pleased to see MGFIM'13 happening, and really appreciate the efforts of Klaus, Adrian and the team to make this happen for us

Re: MGFIM'13 16-18 August 2013. Germany
copied from the MGFIM / Lux thread from earlier from Klaus...
"First and foremost, we need an independent international event for MG driver to meet us in the future for one Event every year.
Why the MGFIM13 in Germany? First we want to make a Event in luxembourg, but i know Pascal and Friends are organize this for 2013
We know we must do anything, "the family" must come together.
I suggested to Adrian that we have the landscape, the crew, the experience, beautiful road profiles and we are creazy enough.
This atmosphere and the fun you will be found nowhere, i understand and i know what adrian want to say.
The reason why there is still no comprehensive details is simple, first we must find a Hotel that is big enough and not too expensive.
The routes are not a problem (you will love it), the program can not, the meeting is basically the 11th ! Hunsrücktreffen only bigger and international, we want back to the roots - the MG, his driver and co-driver, the road, the landscape and and the fun.
When we have blocked the Hotel we give more details.
We looking forward to see you in Germany" Klaus
I for one appreciate the efforts of Klaus and the team our there!!

Re: MGFIM'13 16-18 August 2013. Germany
Yes! There will be an MGFIM13!!
The MGFIM13 goes 11. MG-Hunsrücktreffen 2013
Who are we? We are Lutz Ulrich and Jochen Bohlander.
Some may remember me from my trip with the "Treffeners" around Ted Newman 2002 and 2003, others from the Tour de Lux 2008. In 2002 I arranged a little tour in my country for the Treffeners. This was so much fun, I decided to
organize a Treffen by my own. So in 2003 the MG-Hunsrücktreffen was born. In 2006 Jochen turned up as a second organizer. Since this year we both organize the MG-Hunsrücktreffen.
The MG-Hunsrücktreffen is an established meeting in the country of Rhineland-Palatinal in Germany. It takes place at one weekend in August, mainly on saturday / sunday. Our starting field varies between 16 and 32 MGF/MGTF. Friday is the day for the early birds, so we can start at saturday in the morning.
Spirit of the MG-Hunsrücktreffen is
1. drive a lot on beautiful roads
2. take along a little culture
3. savour a lot of good meals, cake, eg.
4. have fun
The length of the daily routes is between 220-280 km / 135-175 mls. We approximately are 5h -7h on the road (depends on the surroundings and the starting field).
The next weeks the subscription will be online, so we can start a detailed planning of the MGFIM13. At the moment (as Klaus wrote) we are looking for some hotels big enough to accommodate all. Everyone has to book the room himself!! We only block an estimated number of rooms. Maybe we have to deal with more than one hotel, if one has not enough rooms (could be a little problem).
Klaus asked us, if we would "pimp up" the Hunsrücktreffen a little bit and name it MGFIM13/11. MG-Hunsrücktreffen. Yes, we will, we answered. So Klaus will still be the first man in line here in the MGFRegister and tell you all the news. If you are interested in some pics and informations of the last MG-Hunsrücktreffen, have a look at www.MG-Hunsrücktreffen.de or www.lutzebub.de . Some browsers still can not handle ü, ö and ä.
We are looking forward and are happy to call the MG-Hunsrücktreffen an international event.
So long!
Cheers
Lutz and Jochen
