The next MGF Register main event is coming up - The Steaming Charity Run.
It takes place on Sunday 31st May and will begin in Beaconsfield and steam through to the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre near Aylesbury where we'll have our own parking area and a discounted entry to the Steam Centre.
We'll be supporting the Stoke Mandeville Spinal Foundation for the second event this year with a minimum donation of £5 which can be made via the http://www.justgiving.com/mgfregister website.
You'll also be supporting the MGF Register itself wthrough your entry fee of £15 which will cover Rally Plates, Route Books and a discounted entry to the Railway Centre.

Despite the fact that no one has posted on this thread applications are now starting to come in on this event. Don't forget this is the only main day MGF Register run this year and we do need your support to keep the Register going and also to help the charity so apply now and make sure of your place.

Hi Tim,
Just filling in the form - I assume cheques should be payable to the MGF Register?
Or is it T. Morris Enterprises....

Much as I may wish it's the latter its actually MG Car Club (MGF Register)
Looking our for your application Mark.
How about some more ? This is the only main F Rgeister day run this year, as I might have already mentioned, and we need to add to the charity pot as well as the Register's own (or Treasurer Tully won't be happy) - so please support the Register and Stoke Mandeville by signing up for this event ...You don't have to live nearby to take part - there are suggested hotels on the webpage - in fact we've just had an entrant from Norfolk.
I'm waiting for a large sack from the postman any day !

Looks like I might need to bring my cheque book or cash on the day then Tim as I am sure I put just 'MGF Register' on my cheque in the application. opppss!!!

Anyone staying over on the Saturday night for an early start on the Sunday?
I am going to be staying for a couple of nights at the ETAP HOTEL Beaconsfield
Tel : (+44)1494680929 Hedgerley Road, Burtley wood - HP9 2SE to give me a good base to go down to Brands Hatch on the Saturday and a place to rest my head on the Saturday night without going home for an early start on the Sunday.
Not the most exciting hotel I am sure as it is at the services but it will give an easy start to the run and at £32 per night can't be so bad & it is new this year.

We'll probably be OK with that Keith. Your application received this morning Dave. I'll be sending out joining instructions etc in the next few days so you should get them next week in time for the run !
Still time for more applicants to join us on this event.....

Form received Jon and stuff in the post so you should get that today or tomorrow.
It's probably getting a bit late now to apply in advance for this run but you can still just turn up on the day - Beaconsfield M40 services (accessible from the A355 so you don't need to go on the motorway) around 10am.
If you do intend to come and are reading this then please let us know here so we can print off enough route books etc and you won't be left wondering where to go.

Looking forward to this one tomorrow. Be nice to get off the motor ways after the trips over the last couple of days.
Looking over the Beaconfields services car park right now.
Hope to see it full of F/TFs tomorrow morning. If I am not there - someone will have to drag me out of the hotel bed room. But then again, a cooked breakfast calls out to me so I am sure I will be up bright and early.
With the good weather, I hope a few more people will turn up on the day to enjoy the roof down weather.

Aaah, that oh-so-flattering MG tan is back!
Stu, that was a great run, with very clear instructions. Thoroughly enjoyed the finishing venue too, not to mention the chance to catch up with some old faces and meet some new ones! Even the M25 was kind to us on the way home (only two jams brought traffic to a standstill
)
It was a great day out, thanks to Stu, Ally and all concerned.
David & Michelle

Chris and I would like to add our thanks to those of David & Michelle. Another great day out with the good people of the F Register. A fantastic turn out. Thoroughly enjoyed the run - well planned and clear instructions. Just glad the cycle race was going the other way.
Enjoyed the destination venue too. A great day out. Thanks again.
Took the scenic route home via Windsor so managed to avoid any problems on the M25.
See you all again soon.

We enjoyed it too,.
The run about right in the mileage department, huge improvement to Quainton since we were last there fiteen years ago.
The new (old 1850) station building really outstanding just like a mini ST Pancras with wonderfull light effects from the glass roof. The engine and carriage used by Churchill and 'Ike' for the 'D' day landing preperation a special treat to see. The radio controlled model articulated lorries with engine sounds, brake and horn sounds a reverlation, I did not know they were about, I want one........
A lot of effort goes into these events. It is appreciated very much.
Thanks again, see you all again soon.
